Try Before You Buy Policy

This Try Before You Buy Policy governs the rental-to-purchase credit program offered by Compress DME, LLC, doing business as Compress, Compress Vascular, and/or Compress Athlete Recovery (“Compress”). Participation in the rental program does not automatically enroll a customer in, or guarantee eligibility for, the Try Before You Buy program.

1. Program Overview

Eligible rental customers may apply a portion of qualifying rental payments toward the purchase of a Compress system.

Under the program, Compress will provide a purchase credit equal to 50% of eligible base rental payments actually paid and retained by Compress during the first six rental months, subject to all terms below.

The program is intended to provide customers an opportunity to evaluate the rental experience before deciding whether to purchase. Rental payments remain rental payments and do not create ownership rights.

2. Eligibility

To qualify for a Try Before You Buy credit:

  • the customer must participate in an eligible Compress rental program;

  • the applicable minimum rental commitment must be satisfied;

  • the rental account must be current and in good standing;

  • all qualifying rental payments must have been successfully received and retained by Compress;

  • the customer must affirmatively elect to purchase; and

  • the qualifying purchase must be completed within six months of the original rental start date.

Compress may deny or suspend eligibility for accounts with unpaid balances, chargebacks, payment disputes, lost or damaged equipment, suspected fraud, or other material violations of the Rental Terms & Conditions.

3. Eligible Rental Credit

The available purchase credit equals 50% of eligible base equipment rental payments made during the first six rental months.

Only base monthly equipment rental charges qualify.

The following do not qualify for credit:

  • compression sleeves;

  • shipping;

  • taxes;

  • expedited freight;

  • accessories;

  • financing charges;

  • late or failed-payment charges;

  • repair, damage, or replacement charges;

  • collection costs; or

  • any other non-rental amounts.

No credit accrues for rental periods after the first six rental months.

4. Six-Month Conversion Window

The purchase transaction must be completed within six months of the original rental start date.

The conversion window is measured from the original rental commencement date and is not extended by:

  • delayed use;

  • temporary non-use;

  • equipment exchanges;

  • replacement equipment;

  • payment delays;

  • medical circumstances; or

  • other interruptions,

unless Compress expressly approves an extension in writing.

Any unused Try Before You Buy credit automatically expires when the six-month conversion period ends.

5. Purchase Price

The applicable purchase price is the then-current purchase price in effect when the customer completes the purchase.

The purchase price is not locked or guaranteed by the rental start date.

Compress may change purchase pricing, product configurations, available accessories, or promotional offers prospectively at any time.

6. Applying the Credit

Upon an eligible conversion, Compress will calculate the qualifying rental credit and apply it against the applicable purchase price.

The customer remains responsible for:

  • the remaining purchase balance;

  • applicable taxes;

  • shipping or delivery charges not expressly included;

  • accessories or additional personal-use items;

  • financing costs, if applicable; and

  • any outstanding rental obligations or other amounts due.

Compress's calculation of eligible rental payments and available credit will control absent manifest error.

7. No Automatic Conversion or Ownership

A rental does not automatically convert into a purchase.

Rental payments are not installment payments and do not create equity or ownership in the rental equipment.

Ownership transfers only after:

  1. the customer affirmatively elects to purchase;

  2. Compress confirms eligibility and the applicable rental credit;

  3. all outstanding rental obligations are satisfied; and

  4. Compress receives the remaining purchase balance or confirmation of approved financing.

Until that process is completed, all reusable rental equipment remains the property of Compress.

8. Nature of the Credit

Try Before You Buy credit:

  • has no cash value;

  • is non-refundable;

  • is non-transferable;

  • cannot be sold or assigned;

  • may be used only toward an eligible Compress system purchase;

  • may be used only once; and

  • may not be combined with other discounts, promotions, credits, negotiated pricing, or special offers unless Compress expressly authorizes the combination in writing.

Unused credit cannot be refunded, carried forward, or applied to another customer or transaction.

9. Purchase Returns After Conversion

Any purchase completed through the Try Before You Buy program remains subject to the applicable Compress Purchase Terms & Conditions and return policy.

If a converted purchase is subsequently returned:

  • previously paid rental charges remain rental charges and are not refundable;

  • the Try Before You Buy credit will not be refunded in cash;

  • the credit will not automatically be reinstated for future use; and

  • any eligible refund will be calculated only after applying applicable deductions and the terms of the Purchase Terms & Conditions.

A purchase return does not restore the prior rental relationship unless Compress expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

10. Rental Equipment at Conversion

Compress will provide instructions regarding whether existing rental equipment will be retained, exchanged, returned, or otherwise processed as part of the purchase conversion.

The customer must follow Compress's instructions regarding rental property.

Failure to return equipment or components when requested may result in continued rental charges, replacement charges, or other amounts permitted under the Rental Terms & Conditions.

11. Financing

If financing is used to complete the purchase, financing remains subject to the separate approval requirements, rates, fees, and terms of the financing provider.

The Try Before You Buy credit will be applied before determining the qualifying purchase balance submitted for financing unless Compress or the financing provider requires a different process.

Compress does not guarantee financing approval.

12. Cash-Pay Program

The Try Before You Buy program is part of Compress's cash-pay program.

Eligibility for the program and the customer's payment obligations are not dependent upon Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, or any other third-party reimbursement.

Insurance denial or lack of coverage does not create a right to refund rental payments or extend the conversion period.

13. Program Changes

Compress may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Try Before You Buy program prospectively at its discretion.

Any qualifying credit already earned and expressly confirmed by Compress will be administered in accordance with the terms applicable to that customer's transaction, subject to the customer's continued compliance with those terms.

No salesperson, contractor, employee, or representative may orally modify this policy or promise a different credit, conversion period, purchase price, or exception.

Any exception must be expressly approved by Compress in writing.

14. Relationship to Other Compress Terms

This policy supplements the applicable:

  • Rental Terms & Conditions;

  • Purchase Terms & Conditions;

  • order confirmation;

  • payment authorization; and

  • financing agreement, if applicable.

If there is a conflict concerning the Try Before You Buy credit, this policy controls with respect to the credit program unless Compress expressly states otherwise in writing.

Recommended Checkout Disclosure

Try Before You Buy: Eligible customers who satisfy the applicable minimum rental commitment and complete a qualifying purchase within six months of the original rental start date may receive a credit equal to 50% of eligible base rental payments made during the first six rental months. The credit has no cash value, excludes sleeves, shipping, taxes, fees, accessories, damage charges, financing charges, and other non-rental amounts, and expires if the purchase is not completed within the applicable conversion period.
